HIKING ROUTE AND TRIP PLANNING INFORMATION

This course will help you better plan and conduct hiking trips. It will reinforce and add to your knowledge from the previous hiking courses. It offers additional navigation practice - plan a route and find a route using map and compass. Part of the route will be off-trail. Learn to organize your group and resources and adjust the trip based on conditions in the field

Prerequisites: Hiking and Survival Essentials and Hiking Navigation.
Students are required to purchase their own topo map at an approximate cost of $10-$15.
Course fee: $20.
