Apr 17 - Lost Lake
We headed out to the Arestua hut from on April 17, leaving from the Hessie trail head. We were able to put our skins almost immediately after heading up from Lost Lake. With the new snow, we skinned all the way to the Pipeline trail and made it to the hut without anymore hiking.
Everything's looking great at the hut - just the battery isn't working, but a Luci light and head lamps did the trick!
Saturday we tried to find some skiing around the hut between Guinn and Bryan mountain but the snow got thin pretty quickly. After a bit of hiking we found some more snow, but it was too sticky so we headed back to the hut.
Sunday we toured out and transitioned partway down the Pipeline trail. We made it all the way to the old mining trail above Lost Lake and even got some nice turns in! Lost Lake trail still had snow on the top half of the trail but it was melting fast.
